We welcome thoughtful pitches about rail routes, stations, onboard experience, railway landscapes, and the art of making a journey feel less like a dash from A to B.
What makes a good pitch
Send a concise proposal with a working title, the central idea, the reader it serves, and the details you would explain. Strong pitches have a clear angle, offer lasting value, and do not depend on unsupported claims, confidential information, or a first-hand test that has not taken place.
Useful subjects
We are interested in distinct, well-scoped ideas: reading a route map, understanding a station layout, planning a rail connection, or noticing how the landscape changes from the carriage. Tell us what makes the subject worth a reader’s time and how you would handle relevant limits or variations.
How to send a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include your proposed angle in the message. A proposal is not a commission, and we cannot promise publication.
